La convocatòria d’ajuts a la recerca RecerCaixa finançarà projectes de recerca desenvolupats per investigadors i investigadores de les universitats i centres de recerca de Catalunya.
La convocatòria persegueix principalment dos objectius: impulsar la recerca científica d’excel·lència al nostre país i apropar la ciència a la societat per fer-la partícip dels avenços científics i dels beneficis humans i socials de la recerca.

ALZHEIMER'S DRUG DISCOVERY FOUNDATION
The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) funds drug discovery and development research programs in the field of Alzheimer's disease (AD), related dementias and cognitive aging. The ADDF seeks to fill the critical translational funding gap between basic research and later stage drug development by funding promising drug discovery and development programs. In addition to funding academic programs, the ADDF also invests in and creates early stage biotechnology companies. The ADDF also co-sponsors conferences to stimulate new ideas and approaches in areas of interest to the Foundation.

Fomentar el desenvolupament de la investigació translacional d'excel·lència en l'àmbit de les malalties poc freqüents mitjançant el finançament de projectes d'investigació.
Es consideren malalties rares o poc freqüents aquelles que compleixen els paràmetres de prevalença reconeguts internacionalment, és a dir que compleixen dos criteris:
1) La prevalença acceptada per la Unió Europea de 5 o menys casos per 10.000 habitants
2) Que la malaltia estigui inclosa en les bases de dades Orphanet (www.orpha.net) o OMIM (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/omim) amb nombre ORPHA o OMIM assignat.

The PRCRP was initiated in 2009 to provide support for cancer research of exceptional scientific merit not addressed by the breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, and ovarian cancer research programs executed and managed by the Office of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).
The goal of the PRCRP is to improve quality of life by decreasing the impact of cancer on active duty service members, their families, and the American public. As such, the PRCRP will foster the next generation of cancer research by providing new opportunities to successfully pursue high-impact research for the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.

The JPI HDHL aims to coordinate research on the impact of diet and lifestyles on health, significantly contributing to the construction of a fully operational European Research Area for the prevention of diet-related diseases and strengthening the leadership and competitiveness of research activities in this field.

The main objective of the BioNH call is to support interdisciplinary research and innovative approaches for the validation of Biomarkers and the investigation of intake/exposure and nutritional status of biomarkers within Nutrition and Health. This will be a key step in the implementation of the JPI HDHL strategic research agenda. The BioNH call in particular aims to define and harmonise the methodology necessary to prove the nutritional effects in the development of foods.

  • Understand precursor lesion/stem cell, microenvironment, and pathogenesis/ progression of all types of ovarian cancer including rare subtypes;
  • Develop or improve performance and reliability of screening, diagnostic approaches, and treatment;
  • Develop and validate models to study initiation and progression of ovarian cancer;
  • Address issues in primary prevention and survivorship;
  • Investigate tumor response to therapy including tumor survival, dormancy, cell death, clonal evolution, tumor heterogeneity; and
  • Enhance the pool of ovarian cancer scientists.
