Fomentar la investigació clínica amb medicaments d'ús humà mitjançant el finançament de projectes no promoguts per la indústria farmacèutica, els continguts de la qual estiguin referits a les següents àrees temàtiques prioritàries, que també estan dintre de les prioritats estratègiques de la infraestructura europea ECRIN:
a) Medicaments orfes segons el què es disposa en el Reglament (CE) 141/2000 i medicaments d'alt interès sanitari «sense interès comercial».
b) Investigació clínica i altres estudis dirigits a reduir les resistències als antibiòtics.
c) Investigació clínica de medicaments per a poblacions especials, en particular en població pediàtrica.
d) Investigació clínica, estudis fármaco-epidemiològics i de seguretat clínica de medicaments autoritzats en condicions reals d'ús.
i) Investigació clínica i estudis comparatius de medicaments en l'àmbit de les estratègies de control, amb impacte en la salut pública per al SNS.
f) Medicaments de teràpia cel·lular i altres teràpies avançades com teràpia gènica o enginyeria de teixits i medicina regenerativa.
g) Assajos clínics, incloent estudis fármaco-genètics, encaminats a determinar poblacions amb diferent grau de resposta, en eficàcia i/o seguretat, a fàrmacs amb rellevància clínica i terapèutica en la pràctica assistencial.

- Finançar una línia de recerca de qualitat estable, evitant la fragmentació dels grups de recerca, per tal de que assoleixin una mida òptima per adquirir massa crítica, fomentant la participació d’investigadors amb dedicació única a cada projecte. Tant els IP's com els CoIP hauran d'anar amb dedicació única.

- Fomentar el finançament del primer projecte de recerca d’aquells investigadors amb actividad assistencial.

- Com a mínim el 5% dels projectes que es financien s’hauran de destinar a investigadors contractats de la modalidad Miguel Servet, Ramon y Cajal o del programa d'estabilització.

- Fomentar la presentació de projectes coordinats que facin possible:
  • a)Accelerar la transferència de resultats a la pràctica clínica i que evidenciï la interacció entre grups d'investigació bàsica i de biomedicina clínica amb altres d'investigació epidemiològica i en serveis de salut.
  • b)La cooperació público-privada amb projectes en xarxa que potencien la investigació en tecnologia en salut, telemedicina, e-salut i en sistemes d'informació pel SNS

    Com a mínim el 20% dels projectes que es financien hauran de ser dirigits a personal investigador que realitza tasques assistencials en el SNS.

    ALLIANCE FOR LUPUS RESEARCH
    The Alliance for Lupus Research (ALR) is an independent, voluntary health agency formed to provide a concentrated effort for the prevention, treatment and cure of systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus or SLE). The purpose of the ALR Target Identification in Lupus (TIL) grants program is to fund highly meritorious and innovative research focused on the identification and scientific and/or clinical advancement of therapeutic targets that will lead to new therapies for the treatment of lupus. This grant program has been established to develop new approaches to treat lupus more effectively and safely.
