Objectiu de la convocatòria
The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) has launched its 11th Call for proposals, giving researchers from diverse sectors the opportunity to participate in ambitious public-private partnerships that will pave the way for the development of the medicines of the future.
Característiques principals
The Call has the following topics:
  • Applied public-private research enabling osteoarthritis clinical headway
  • European platform for proof of concept for prevention in Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Blood-based biomarker assays for personalised tumour therapy: value of latest circulating biomarkers
  • Zoonoses anticipation and preparedness initiative
  • Generation of research tools to translate genomic discoveries into drug discovery projects EcoRisk Prediction

    Topics under the New Drugs for Bad Bugs (ND4BB) programme on antimicrobial resistance:
  • Epidemiology research and development of novel systemic antibacterial molecules against healthcare-associated infections due to Gram-negative pathogens
  • Development of novel inhaled antibiotic regimens in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) and patients with non-CF bronchiectasis (BE)
  • Característiques principals
    The Expression of Interest will consist of two sections:
  • Administrative Section: This captures the information about the legal status of each Participant, as well as an overview of the eligible project costs, the IMI JU contribution requested by entities eligible to receive IMI JU funding.
  • Scientific Section: This captures the proposed project’s scientific description and objectives, the proposed project work plan with an outline of the Work-Packages, deliverables, timelines and the partnership case.

    The administrative section has to be filled primarily by the ‘Coordinator’. Some information shall be filled directly by the participants under guidance of the Coordinator.     Dotació
    IMI JU collaborative projects are implemented through a co-financing scheme. The IMI JU grants financial support to the eligible entities (see conditions above), while the other entities (including the EFPIA companies) participate in the project with their own resources.
    The EU contribution varies from 0,25 to 25 million €, depending on the topic.
    Durada
    The indicative duration of the project is between 4 and 7 years.
