Objectiu de la convocatòria
To fund basic research dedicated to a better understanding of risk. The word risk as we understand it is connected to: Phenomena that are percived -or yet to be percived-as hazards or threats and wich must be identified and mesured for frequency and impact.
Característiques principals
Post-Doctoral projects funded must be related to one of the general topics listed below, and should contribute to a better understanding of one of these three clusters of risks:
  • Environmental risks
  • Life risks: The AXA Research Fund wishes to finance basic research only.This excludes R&D research programs, as well as clinical trials involved in clinical research projects. Please note that research programs aimed at undestanding the fundamental mechanisms of a disease and its impact on health are considered basic
  • Socio-economic Risks

    Process:
  • First Round: Selection of institutions
    The operational contact fills in the form in which the fields the institution wants to propose candidates on the AXA Research Fund’s application website.
    Opening: October 15th, 2014; Closing: November 8th, 2014
  • Second Round: Submission of Outline proposal and pre-selection:
    a. Internal selection of candidates by the Institution: The operational contact submits the names and emails of the pre-selected candidates.
    Opening: November 17th, 2014; Closing: December 8th, 2014
    b. Submission of the outline proposals: candidates are provided with an access to the application platform to submit their outline proposals.
    Opening: November 17th, 2014; Closing: December 15th, 2014
  • 3. Third round: Submission of Full proposal and selection a. Submission of Full proposals: Pre-selected candidates are invited to submit a full proposal on the application website.
    Opening: February 20th, 2015; Closing: March 19th, 2015
    • Requisits
  • Applications must be filled out in English.
  • A candidate can be presented through one institution only.
  • Candidates must have defended their Ph.D. thesis before the beginning of their Post- Doctoral grant.
  • Less than 5 years since awarding of first Ph.D. Extensions to this period may be allowed in case of eligible career breaks which must be properly documented.
  • We wish to finance projects from start to finish: projects that are already underway are thus not eligible for funding with the ARF.
  • ARF Post- Doc grants are not compatible with permanent academic positions.

    120.000€ for the full length of the project
    Durada
    The Post-Doctoral funding is granted for a period of two years
    AVÍS IMPORTANT
    Només els candidats que hagin entregat l'expressió d'interès abans del 31 d'octubre podran entrar a la selección interna que haurà de realizar el centre.
    Per fer la priorització de candidats caldrà entregar la següent documentació en els terminis següents:
  • Abans del 4 de noviembre a les 14:00h: informació sobre el camp de recerca (demaneu el formulari al Servei de Recerca)
  • Abans del 6 de noviembre: CV en qualsevol format + resum del projecte de recerca d'unes tres pàgines aproximadament.
